Architectural design is a complex, accumulative process, concerning many voices,
including the public voice. It is one rare art that is done by many, not by one. As we are many,
it is easier for us to simulate the needs and the conflicts that arise in every project,
and thus, hopefully (at the price of exhausting our time and nerves) to reach desirable consequences.
in order to be attentive to what the site has to offer,
we hold that the design should take place in real time and in real place.
This would break the rule of the conventional building chain,
client- architect- contractor- craftsman- supervisor- user into a much freer,
more flexible and responsive work pattern. Architecture and design is, after all,
what we find ourselves doing on a usual working day, if such a thing is to be prescribed.
These disciplines are resource demanding and hence client dependant.
Any success one may claim is due to an open minded,
open hearted and patient client who would listen to what we utter in every opportunity about sustainability,
about natural materials, about simple form,
true to its generating need, about recycling and passive climate control,
about modest lifestyle and about being in peace with our surrounding,
in peace with our neighbors and in peace with ourselves.
