Hukuk Neighnorhood

PUBLIC, 1993

LOCATION: Hukok Kibbutz, Israel

PROGRAMME: Ecological Neighborhood

CLIENT: Hukok Kibbutz

YEAR: 2006

Open public space plan for an ecological neighborhood in Hukuk, organized around a central pathway leading to a plaza at the heart of the community.

The ecological neighborhood in Hukuk features a central pathway connecting house courtyards to a communal plaza at the heart of the community, fostering connectivity and social interaction. Proposed housing typologies, including southern, northern, eastern, and dome-shaped designs, emphasize sustainability and harmony with the natural landscape.

A set of steps glides from the terraced roof down to the patio, and through a crevice between the masses sneaks out to the backyard.
